Hello everyone! If you are part of team snow, this event will be perfect for you. We have a winter storm that will be arriving in a couple of hours. Here is what you need to know about timing and impacts for this storm in the vicinity of Chatham, NJ.


Monday: Near Midnight

  • Rain showers will transition to a wintry mix 🌧️🌨️.

Tuesday: In the Early Hours

  • Snow showers will transition to moderate to heavy snow ❄️. Initial above freezing temperatures will not allow snow to stick. 3 am would probably be when the snow would start sticking.

Tuesday: Early Morning Hours

  • Moderate to heavy wet snow continues ❄️. Snow rates may reach or exceed 1 inch at times.

Tuesday: Mid-morning Hours

  • Light to moderate snow ❄️.

Tuesday: Late Morning Hours

  • Light snow is expected to taper off ❄️. Wind gusts may exceed 15 to 20 mph.

Tuesday: Early Afternoon Hours

  • Snow is expected to be out of our area. Mostly cloudy skies 🌥️ with some peeks of sunshine.


Concluding thoughts: Total snow accumulations are forecast to be 6-8 inches depending on when the snow will start sticking and how heavy the snow rates will be. Stay safe and enjoy the snow!
